As the world famous sailing regatta Cowes Week 2025 began yesterday, one of the sport’s leading voices – Magnus Wheatley – is taking centre stage at the Isle of Wight Literary Festival this October!
Magnus, the Chief Event Writer for the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, has covered every Cup since 1987. From cutting newspaper clippings at 15 to writing for the Financial Times, Seahorse International, and running the world’s most viewed sailing blog, his journey is pure passion for yacht racing.
Now, Magnus launches his debut book: “There Is No Second” – the definitive account of how the America’s Cup was born and the truth behind its most famous phrase.
